Item description
This is a vintage, Mid Century, handpainted porcelain pin or trinket dish that features a beautiful rendition of Saint Peter's Basicilla in Rome, Italy. The antique dish is stamped on the back, "K-B Societa Ceramica Italiana Laveno" witha mark featuring an eagle. In addition, there is a handwritten notation, "S. Pietro - (upside down V) 5-56 Roma Italy" The miniature dish has a gold rim and vivid color. I inherited this dish more than 35 years ago from a miniature collector and am pretty sure the 5-56 indicted the date of May 1956. The dish is in great shape, no breaks or cracks. This vintage pin dish measures about 4" wide. This would make a wonderful addition to a porcelain miniature collection or as a reminder of travels to Rome, Italy.
