Item description
Vintage Harpham saddle from early 1900's - we believe it is from approx 1900 to 1920 based on our research of the maker's mark but we are not experts.
It has original iron stirrups and leather is original. There has been a new synthetic fleece lining and saddle strings along with the latigo carrier replaced but that appears to be the only work we can determine to have been done to this saddle. The makers mark is on the right front of the saddle. The saddle's latigo carrier features another company that we believe is the company that completed the install of the fleece and replacement of sadle strings and latigo carrier. Though we can't quite make it out it appears to read Conley or Corley or something similar of Livingston, MT though we have not been able to locate a similarly named saddle show there. The tree appears to be tight and original - so we would strongly suggest a saddler completely go over it before you attempt to ride in it. Also, the left stirrup leathers were repaired as many were back in the day with leather strings (see pic).
The leather is in good condition for a saddle more than 100 years old!
