Item description
Vintage 8 x 10 in. US double-weight glossy restrike photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken, but one printed from the original negative at a later time) from the classic 1930s drama/mystery romance, OF HUMAN BONDAGE, released in 1934 by RKO Radio Pictures and directed by John Cromwell. Based upon the novel by W. Somerset Maugham, a young man finds himself attracted to a cold and unfeeling waitress who may ultimately destroy them both.
The image depicts waitress Mildred (Bette Davis) taking the order of Philip (Leslie Howard) while he clenches his cigarette while deep in thought. It is in very fine- condition as shown.
