A Group of 7 steak knives......in custon comtemporary velvet roll up .....handles identified as xylonite....an ivory like material capable of aging just like ivory.....(see photos)......this intell can narrow the time frame since the meterial 1st appeared in 1877....newer items of this nature can be easily distingushed by use of stainless......... thes are soft steel .....note pitting....an the geometry(uniform) of the handles......one photo shows a set from 1896.....revealing advances in steel an molding technology(handles)......mine are pre-1890.....also punches displayed are more modern......2 additional photos show modern versions of his work outside V.R. this intell is used to make informed decisions before selecting.....THANKSfor considering.
