Item description
#14 in the Tom Swift Jr. series. Grosset and Dunlap hardcover publication. Copyright 1959. Printed around 1960. Author "Victor Appleton II." Victor Appleton the first was the Stratemeyer Syndicate pen name for the initial Tom Swift series.
Good blue tweed book. Sturdy but age-faded spine; hinges are good, no loose pages, but slight tracking beginning to form at front hinge . Blue and white space lab endpapers. "100100" designation on upper right corner of dust jacket front flap. No other writing/markings. Good page blocks.
Good dust jacket with sticker removal scar over the word "and" in the title at top front, and chipping and wear, particularly at spine top and bottom. Chip and wear at right top corner of jacket and bump at right top front of book itself.
Pretext titles and rear flap list to #16 Cosmic Astronauts (1960), and the dust jacket rear lists to Hardy Boys Mystery of the Chinese Junk (1960), and therefore the print run year is estimated at 1960.
Note to New York state residents: an 8.75% sales tax is applicable.
