New, molded from resin, this is a medium cameo brass pendant in BLACK color with IVORY color background, mounted on repro Victorian brass, pendant. Cameo Measures 1? tall x 3/4? wide (25x18 mm) Brass open scallop trim edged backing (crimped up around edges of the cameo), measures 1-1/4? tall x 15/16? wide 18? gold necklace plated chain with pinch closure included Superb detail down to the texture of her hair, and face! I know because I do half the work in creating the cameos. Comes with information card. The theme of African-American women in cameos is RARE, there is mention of this in the book "Cameos Old New (2nd Edition) by Anna M. Miller, G.G. (I recommend the book for anyone collecting cameos).
