One Vintage Chess Playing Porcelain Figurine on Lighted Metal Base. Elegant glazed sculpture measures approximately 11" L x 7" W x 12" H. Features two seated ladies playing chess while a third person looks on. The base is a brass metal color with stamped detail and lacey top trim. The felted bottom is heavily stained and torn in the center. Brown power cord with (on/off switch on base). No identifying markings noted. CONDITION: Pre-owned; electric light not working but possibly a simple fix (some wires are not connected). There is one chip on the front porcelain base of the figurine (please see last photo), and there is also a repaired/stable hairline crack all the way around the arm of the standing figure (see photo with pencil). There are a few small markings and bits of dirt where I could not reach to clean - the porcelain lace could be cleaned better in spots. Scuffs and markings on the metal base, as well as the felt damage on the bottom. Possible color loss. Piece offered "as is".
