Brand new factory sealed dvd of an old B&W horror movie with your hosts, the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 crew. Running commentary of quips and jokes from Joel Robinson and his robot companions, Tom Servo & Crow T. Robot. Their segments are in color. Out Of Print in all formats and no longer being manufactured.

The movie was an attempt to cash in on the success of the 'Wolf Man' made the year before. George Zucco is the standard mad doctor, infected by patriotic zeal and propounding the theory (to an audience of scientists congregating in his mind) that injections of wolf blood will create an invincible army. Experimenting on a handy farm labourer (Glenn Strange, making his horror debut), he creates a hairy wolf-man who -- despite the good doctor's work with a whip -- promptly creates the usual mayhem and runs off with a little girl.

Risible though it is, it shocked the British censor enough to ban it until 1952, and even then to insist that it should be accompanied by a disclaimer on the matter of blood transfusions.
