History: The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a high rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient building of great architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon. .* Details:

.* Front side: Shows picture of the Parthenon with blue skies in the background. On the top of the plate the word Acropolis. On the bottom edge of the plate the word Greece.  There are 2 pencil point black marks right below the clouds which is easily visible to someone looking closely at the plate.

.* Back side: There are no manufacture or date markings on the back side of the plate. The back side has 3 manufacturing scuff marks which look like came with the dish on purchase. These marks are not viewable from the front side.

.* Wall plate hanger: Plate has a wire hook for attachment to a wall.

.* Dimensions: Diameter 6 1 / 2 inches.

.* Place and Date of Manufacture: Greece, not marked on plate.  It was purchased by my mother on a European vacation tour in 1985.

The item is in excellent condition. Sold as is.
