This is a vintage circa 1950’s bald headed baby face clown figurine made by Interpur of Taiwan ROC. He has a great big smile and big blue eyes and is wearing a cute yellow clown suit with polka dots and big clown shoes. Clown measures about 6 inches tall x 4 inches wide and is in mint condition with no cracks, chips or discoloration. It was originally sold as a night light, as the porcelain clay material would let out a soft glow, but the piece no longer has the socket and cord. I’ve enjoyed it as a figurine and didn’t even realize it had been a lamp until I noticed the indentation on the base for the electrical cord to exit. It could easily be made back into a night light with no tools required as the light socket simply slides into the base. Either way, he’s quite adorable and must if you have a clown collection.
