Vinyl plays nicely; a few light hairlines (play-graded). Cover looks great; creasing, light scuffing and surface impressions (front/back). Inner-sleeve is plastic. Spine is mostly readable with wear and a divot near center with some abrasion. Little shelf-wear along top-edge, slightly more wear along bottom edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots; fairly large divot near center. (Not a cut-out.)
Sweet Sixteen, by Reba McEntire, was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, for selling over 1,000,000 copies. It features four hits on the Billboard country charts. On her cover of the Everly Brothers hit Cathy's Clown, McEntire has altered the pronouns to add a third character to the story, another woman, the narrator, who observes the man she loves being Cathy's clown. The single went to #1 in the country charts when it was released in advance of the album. Walk On also hit #1, followed by top 10 hits Til Love Comes Again and Little Girl. The album's title derives from its being McEntire's sixteenth album, counting compilation and Christmas albums. Sweet Sixteen debuted at #17 on the Country Albums chart on May 27, 1989, and reached #1 on June 24, 1989, staying there for 13 consecutive weeks.
