Vintage 7.5 x 9.5 in. US single-weight glossy copy photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken) from the teens silent film comedy, THE HABIT OF HAPPINESS, released in 1916 by Triangle Distributing and directed by Allan Dwan. Sunny Wiggins (Douglas Fairbanks) is convinced that laughter can cure any
ailment. He tries his thesis out on a dyspeptic millionaire (George Fawcett), to great success.
He turns his attention to easing the plight of the down-and-out on skid row. In
due course, he and the millionaire's daughter (Dorothy West) become entangled with a gang of
ruffians, and Sunny must use more than laughter to save the day.
The image is truly exquisite and features an interior medium shot of well-to-do Sunny Wiggins (Douglas Fairbanks) standing in the sunlight from the open window as he enjoys a happy moment with Elsie Pepper (Dorothy West), who is wearing a beautiful vintage dress with a headband. Printed on single-weight stock with a glossy finish, this vintage copy photograph is in very fine+ condition with light signs of wear on the top corners. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws.
