This is a vintage original 11x14 in. U.S. lobby card from the popular 1930s drama/romance, A MESSAGE TO GARCIA, released in 1936 by Twentieth Century-Fox and directed by George Marshall. Co-starring Wallace Beery, Barbara Stanwyck and John Boles, the story is based upon the actual event of Rowan's carrying a message from President McKinley to Garcia in Cuba during the Spanish-American War.
The image features a medium shot of handsome Lt. Andrew Rowan (John Boles) enjoying the attention of a beautiful Latin woman (Mona Barrie) who, unbeknownst to him, is a spy, while a man watches them. This vintage original lobby card is in fine+ condition with one pinhole only in the top left corner and a light 1.75 in. horizontal crease at the corner; and a 1.75-in. vertical crease in the bottom border with a 1-in. diagonal crease in the border above it. The colors are fresh and vibrant and there are no pinholes, tears or stains.
