These are Two Enduring Chalk ware made in the 50’s or early 60’s Statues of a Boy and Girl Hawking Newspapers & Fruit. (#0126) BOY HAWKING NEWSPAPERS & A GIRL SELLING GRAPES. They were kind of a spinoff of the popular Hummel Type Characters, that were so popular back then. They look to be of 2 children either during the early 1900‘s or the era of the Great Depression. If you look closely, you can even see the little boys toes peeking through his worn shoes and the kind of cap boys wore back then. The girl has a polka-dot apron and a scarf on her head. They are both approximately 9 inches tall. They have no markings. The details on the statues are excellent. There is a tiny chip on the back of the girl's basket, please see picture, other than that there is not any other damage. Together the statues weigh over 3 pounds. Please see pix for a complete description.
