This one-of-a-kind folk art wood sculpture is an amazing piece of artwork. It was meant to be worn as a pendant (you can see the holes that were carved out at the top to run a cord through), but someone added a pin to the back to wear as a brooch (obviously not original to the piece). The intricate details on this primitive miniature carving is remarkable considering the size. 

This is in excellent vintage condition. It measures approximately 2 1/8 inches in length and 1 1/8 inches wide. There are no chips or damage to the piece. Even the piece that was made from a small twig fits in the mouth nice and tight. The wood is a reddish color (redwood?) with natural bark at the top for the hat or hair. 

This would make a great addition to your collection of vintage Folk Art. It would make a great hat pin as well.
