Raymond Chandler began this Philip Marlowe thriller in 1959, but left it unfinished at his death. Thirty years later, Robert B. Paerker, creator of the Spenser detective novels, completed the novel. This is the first edition of this significant collaboration. Some spine slant and a few other slight flaws, but still a nice unmarked copy.
