You are considering the Canon EOS EF AF mount, Quantaray (manufactured by Sigma) 70-300 mm f/4-5.6 LD Macro (1:2) telephoto zoom lens pictured. It is in virtually new condition with little, if any evidence of use. As nice as you are likely to find. Absolutely no dents, dings or scratches that I can see and it is in perfect shooting condition.

The glass is clean and clear. The aperture blades are oil-free and snappy. The aperture ring clicks positively. The focus and zoom actions are smooth and the barrel is virtually spotless. Very nice indeed.

Features of this lens include the venerable Canon EF AF Mount, a fast maximum aperture of f/4, rugged construction (not found in many lenses of similar spec), LD (Low Dispersion Glass. It's a good thing!) glass for outstanding sharpness, contrast and color rendition, a Macro mode of 1:2 (one-half life-size on the film or sensor!), a filter size of 62 mm and more.

If you have been shooting with that 55-200 kit lens, then you are in for a pleasant surprise! The sharpness, contrast and color rendition of this telephoto zoom lens will blow you away. No kit zoom can even come close to the image quality that this lens will provide. It is tack-sharp and just a pleasure to use.

This lens will work with all Canon EOS cameras, digital as well as 35 mm film SLRs.  On a crop-sensor (APS-C) DSLR cameras this lens will (effectively) be a 105-315 mm lens. On Full-Frame and 35 mm SLRs, it of course, remains a 70-300 mm lens.
