1985 Hand Drawn Artwork of King Kong on New York Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, (from the remake movie)
This light blue-ish glossy front QSL postcard features a hand drawn drawing of King Kong climbing the twin towers in New York.
The original Movie in 1933 and the remake in 2005 both had King Kong climbing the Empire State building.
In the 1976 remake with Jeff Bridges, Charles Grodin, and Jessica Lange in her first film role, Kong climbed the twin towers of the World Trade Center instead of the Empire State building.
In the climax of the movie, Kong climbs the South Tower of the World Trade Center, then after being attacked by men with flamethrowers while standing on the roof, Kong flees by leaping across to the North Tower.
He rips pieces of equipment from the roof and throws them at the men, but, the fatally injured Kong falls from the roof to the World Trade Center plaza, where he dies from his injuries.
There is great detail in the drawing and several significant buildings are represented in the background of the drawing.
The artwork is signed by "Rint", and features a small sign in the bottom corner "I LOVE NY"
The back (address side) is a custom printed QSL card printed in brown ink.

The handwritten date of August 30, and although the postmark is smeared the postmark reads Sep 1985, and you can partially make out what might be "Hicksville" NY.
Measures 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches
CONDITION: No pin holes, creased or tears. Edges and corners show only very minor wear.
The front (Artwork side) has a postmark smudge along the left edge of the card, but is otherwise clean and clear and color is not faded or discolored.
On the back (address side), the postmark is smeared, but still partially readable. The 14 cent Sinclair Lewis Postage stamp is in good condition, but almost totally obscured by the postal message stamp.
