Vintage U S Army Officers Olive Drab Field Overcoat Trench Coat Jacket 4th Infantry Division WW II Vietnam.I'm not sure if this coat is from the WW II or the Vietnam era.The inside tag states that it is a long small size, and manufactured for governmental use only under patent nos re 21676 and 2198064 .I did a google search of the patent numbers and the First Division Museum at Cantigny stated that it was a 1941 - 1945 era jacket, and is made of two ply water resistant poplin material.I couldnt find any other tags or markings other than the ones pictured. The coat is in excellent condition and appears to have never been worn. There are no tears, rips, odors,or wear. The inside full liner is also in excellent condition. The only issue I could find with the jacket after close inspection was two tiny black dots on the lower left sleeve that look like dots from a fine tip black pen. They can be seen in the photos. This is a heavy and warm coat and weighs in at 5 pounds 6 oz.
