DESCRIPTION:
This is a matched pair of two antique church altar candlesticks. The items are made of mixed materials and white metal Spelter with a brass plated finish. The candlesticks each have seven arms, and they are from a church. I do not know what religion these were used in. The items may be Menorahs or for use in Christian church services. These candlesticks were once electrified, and they retain ten of the glass candle-shaped light bulbs (I have not tested the light bulbs and do not know if they are in working condition, as the lamps are not wired). The items need to be re-wired if you intend on using them as electric lamps (see photos). The candlesticks are not marked by the maker (see photos and determine the maker, the age, and the origin). Each candlestick measures in total about 23 inches high including the glass candle shaped light bulbs (each is about 17.25 inches high for the metal portions), and each about 16.4 inches wide from side to side. The base of each candlestick measures about 15.5 inches wide (see photos). It is hard to find a matched set of antique electrified church altar lamps. The frames have some chips, some scratches, finish losses, some scuffs, and some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).
