True Radiance Chemical peels are versatile tools that are used to resurface the upper layers of your skin while stimulating the collagen beneath the skin to form and align, which in turn plumps up the fine lines and scars from below the surface.
The Jessner’s Peel is a light to medium peel, the depth of which is controlled by the amount of time you leave it on your skin and the number of layers you use. This is a very safe peel and is suitable for all skin types, especially those with oily or acne prone skin. As with all products, a patch test is recommended to see how your skin reacts. Of all the peels, the Jessner peel has the best track record for dark skin (Fitz 5-6). So works great with all skin types (Fitz 1-6)
Ingredients:
Salicylic Acid 14% is a Beta Hydroxy Acid and is the only oil soluble acid used in skin care. This makes it particularly suited to acne prone skin and oily skin types. Salicylic acid helps dissolve the dirt, sebum and debris in your pores that cause blackheads, enlarged pores and acne outbreaks. It also helps reduce oil production and provides gentle exfoliation.
Lactic acid 14% is an Alpha Hydroxy acid that helps encourage cell turnover and stimulates collagen while helping to smooth and soften skin.
Resorcinol 14% is an effective exfoliator that helps loosen the damaged skin layers to expose the new fresh skin beneath while also stimulating collagen to form.
Alcohol is a penetration enhancer, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin and improve their effectiveness.

If you have the following you may not be a suitable candidate:
Keloid or hyper trophic scars (thick scars). Sunburn or significant sun exposure. Severe Psoriasis, Eczema, Dermatitis, Rosacea. Cut or broken skin. Pregnant or Breast Feeding, Have Herpes, if you had a reaction to peels or dermabrasion.
Recovery From your Jessner Peel:
There will be no discomfort following the procedure. You will wash your face twice daily with gentle soap and water followed by a no fragrance lotion. Your face will initially appear red. Within a few days, your superficial layers of skin may turn dark, become stiff, and resemble leather. They will then flake, and peel. Flaking is usually complete in four to seven days. Once your old skin has sloughed, your new skin will be bright and flushed. You should resume skin care within one week after your procedure. Your flushed appearance will fade slowly over several weeks & having an amazing new glowing fresh look!
After you are healed, sunscreen use is very important because you are initially much more sensitive to the harmful ultraviolet rays from sun. Please stay out of sun for 2 weeks after peel.
