Matchbox Soviet / Russian Mi-24 HIND Helicopter Gunship Chopper, Die Cast Metal.

This is a never played with, just out of package condition die cast metal chopper, a Matchbox MiL Mi-24 (NATO name HIND) helicopter gunship. It is 5 inches long from the tip of the main rotor to the tail rotor blades. Both the main rotor and tail rotors spin, the auto cannon in the nose slightly elevates, and it has all of its landing gear intact and they roll smoothly.

It is armed with the aforementioned cannon, plus rocket pods, and anti-tank missiles. This copter was part of my collection of choppers that was stored away, and never played with. I had a bunch of these at one time, but I'm down to only a couple of them left!

The Mil-24 was used to devastating effect by the Soviets in Afghanistan, until the US provided Stinger missiles to the Mujaheddin to counter it, and has also been used in the many conflicts in the Middle East, during the breakup of the USSR, many wars in Africa, often by mercenary pilots, and most recently in the Libyan Civil War (by both sides), the Syrian Civil War, and most recently in Ukraine. This is a great little example of one of the most fearsome and rugged Helicopter gunships ever built!

This would be great for any diecast aircraft collector! I have 2 of them available at this time, both in the same never played with, only stored away condition.
