Description
This is a stylish vintage 1950's ladies' jacket in black.
Vintage label: International Junior Original New York
Size: XS 36" bust.
Please check measurements given to best predict fit.
The fabric is a very fine faille - it has subtle ribs in the weave.
I believe it could be acetate - it has a subtle sheen.
Rounded collar.
Thin shoulder pads.
Braided ball buttons.
Long fitted sleeves with gathers at caps.
Side front shaping seams.
Long darts through the torso create a nipped waist, with a slight flare to the hem, almost a peplum effect.
Braided cord bow, with knotted ends.
Unlined. The "peplum" is faced with the same fabric.
This would be darling with a plaid circle skirt.
Excellent condition. Some photos lightened to show detail. Also, the sheen on the fabric, and the ribbed texture, made it difficult to photograph, so any distortions or shiny areas are photo problems.
It's a darling jacket in really nice flawless condition.
