Grimes shares twenty years of project management experience. Each step of construction documentation is shown and explained with example situations and sample forms. Text stresses the advantages of proper communication, notification, and documentation to manage construction expectations, as a crucial technique to limit exposure to liability.

Book consists of narrative with sample filled-in communication formats. There are 22 chapters grouped into four Parts. Sample forms from Associated General Contractors (AGC) used with permission in Appendix. xvii + 369pp.

Hardcover has green cloth boards with silver lettering & designs on front & spine, but no dust jacket. Although carefully used and stored with square corners, it has been studied and often used in business. Extensive underlining with red ink, quickly cleaned coffee spills, and paper-clipped pages are found throughout the interior. These evidences of use have not damaged the information in the book. Interior is tightly bound. Always privately owned, there are no ownership markings.
