300 Hyoscyamus niger Seeds / Black Henbane Stinking Nightshade
Common names: "Henbane", "Black Henbane", "Stinking Nightshade"
Genus: Hyoscyamus
Species: Niger
Family: Solanaceae ("Nightshades")
Growing instructions: Henbane requires very little in order to sprout. Simply press the seeds into a sandy, well-draining soil and wait. The seedlings enjoy nitrogen-rich soil and don't tolerate over-watering. Once the seedlings become established, they may be transplanted into larger containers or directly into the ground.
If grown outdoors, sow these nightshade seeds directly into the ground several weeks after the last frost. If grown indoors, any sandy seedling soil is suitable.
Although Hyoscyamus niger is an annual, the plant will readily reseed itself each season. Its seeds remain viable for several years in soil and will sprout given the opportunity. For this reason, its advised to grow henbane in pots in order to contain its seeds and prevent it from spreading.
Quality guarantee: No luck germinating these seeds? No problem! All orders are eligible for refunds & replacements if your seeds don't sprout.
Hyoscyamus niger is a poisonous plant. Please exercise caution while handling any part of the plant, including its leaves, flowers, roots, and seeds.
