This is a nice old hand carved tribal art figural face mask. This carving is a face mask (see photos). The item is made of hand carved wood with a painted finish. The item is part of an estate collection of tribal art (see photos). The item is not marked by an artist and I do not know the maker, the tribal or country affiliation or the figure depicted (see photos). I would guess it may be an African sculpture, but I am not sure (see photos and determine tribe or origin). This item is hand made. The item measures in total about 11 inches high, it is about 2.5 inches from the front edge to the back side and it is about 7 inches wide. The item is sold in as is as found estate condition. The item has scuffs, finish losses and obvious signs of wear from age and handling (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). This is a nice old tribal art wood carving figurative tribal art sculpture face mask to add to your collection.
