DESCRIPTION:
This is a nice hand carved wooden duck decoy. The item is a hand carved wood duck hunting decoy carving statue (see photos). I do not know the tribe or region that this carving represents. The carving is not signed by the artist (see photos). The carving is made of solid wood (look to be white pine). The decoy is old (estimate it to be 90 +/- years old). The item is from an estate liquidation. The decoy measures in total about 6.5 inches high, it is about 6.5 inches wide from side to side, and it is about 18.5 inches long from beak to tail. The head has a little wiggle and can be re-glued by you if desired. The decoy carving has some scuffs, paint losses and other obvious wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). A nice hand carved wooden Mallard duck decoy to add to your collection.
