This is an EXQUISITE ESTATE RING that was HANDMADE in an ART DECO STYLE from PLATINUM. It was made sometime after 1950, but the exact period cannot be determined. The ring is BEZEL SET with 1 EMERALD CUT, YELLOW DIAMOND that weighs a WHOPPING 4.80 CARATS and the weight is engraved in the shank. This diamond comes with an EGL USA Diamond Grading Report number US 69423701D and it is dated July 29, 2014. The diamond is graded as LIGHT YELLOW with VS1 clarity. It is perfectly clear and I thought the clarity would be better than that since I do not see any inclusions at all. The Light Yellow color grade would be the X-Y-Z range, which is just a hair before falling into the Fancy color range with a drastic price increase. The diamond measures 11.80 x 8.80 x 5.53 mm and it has an 18K YELLOW GOLD BEZEL SETTING.
The center diamond is framed with 18 BRILLIANT CUT DIAMONDS and there are an additional 3 brilliant cut diamonds on each shoulder. These 24 diamonds have F - G color with VS1 to SI1 clarity and a total weight of approx. 1.38 ctw. The largest diamonds are in the four corners and they weigh approx .15 ct. each. THE TOTAL DIAMOND WEIGHT IS APPROX. 6.18 CTW! The rectangle ring measures just over 11/16” long by 9/16” wide and it sits just over 1/4” high off the finger. The ring size is a LARGE SIZE 9-1/4 (can be resized within reason) and the total weight is 6.6 grams. THIS RING IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING...FABULOUS COLOR COMBO & CONTRAST...INCREDIBLE SPARKLE...WHAT GIRL WOULDN’T WANT THIS BEAUTY ON HER FINGER?! This ring looks much better in person than in the photos. *A NOTE ABOUT OUR PHOTOGRAPHY – Taking pictures of diamonds to be displayed on a computer screen can be difficult, often resulting in the diamonds looking dark (especially rose cut diamonds) when in reality they are not. If you are looking at any of our pictures and feel that the diamonds look dark, please refer to the description of the item that states the accurate color and clarity of the stones.
Also, jewelry and/or diamond grading is done under 10X magnification. When you super-size our photos you will see the item in 100X magnification. Please be aware that you may see things that cannot be seen with your eyes or a jeweler’s loupe. Sometimes these magnified images can make the item look distorted or appear to have problems when in reality it is fine. I list only high quality pieces and avoid those with problems or in need of repair unless it is described as such in the listing. If you are seeing something that you are not sure of, please inquire about it.
REFUND POLICY: The buyer has the right to a refund should the item not be suitable. The item must be promptly returned in its original condition without damage, alteration, repair or signs of wear when examined under a 10x jewelers loupe. Buyer is responsible for return shipping fees unless we have mistakenly misrepresented the item.
