This IBI Horizontal Electrophoresis Systems QS-710 Quick Screen is in good condition and was removed from a working environment. This unit came from a local lab that had surplus lightly used equipment. Unit is guaranteed to be in functional condition with a 30-day return policy. We urge customers to view all photos as they show overall condition, included accessories and useful information. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Gel Size: 7cm(W) x 10cm(L)
Buffer volume: 250ml
Designed for Quick Screening and rapid, linear
separation of nucleic acids. The QS710 requires
minimal set-up and provides excellent band
resolution and consistent lane-to-lane mobility
for accurate results. A versatile system, great
for applications requiring quick screens, such as,
fragment analysis and recombinant screening

The maximum suggested applied voltage for the electrophoresis of DNA in agarose gels using the QS710 is 100 volts. In a 1% TBE gel, this translates into a run time of approx. 1 hour. Lower voltages may be used, of course, and as a general rule, a 50 volt setting will take twice as long as a 100 volt setting.
The suggested run parameters for the electrophoresis of RNA in agarose gels containing formaldehyde are 60 - 80 volts.
