Kizlyar Supreme "Vector". ELAMAX. StoneWash
Full-tang design is as simple and reliable as possible
Premium version of the Vector knife in Swedish Elmax powder steel from the Bohler Uddeholm plant. ELMAX steel is produced using powder metallurgy technology, so its structure is very uniform, despite the high content of carbon and alloying elements.
A new steel heat treatment scheme was developed especially for this knife. Hardening takes place in a nitrogen environment, followed by cryotreatment and tempering for secondary hardness. With this heat treatment scheme, the hardness is about 61 HRC, but wear resistance is even higher than with standard hardening at 62-63 HRC - such a metallurgical paradox. The main feature of this hardening is a phenomenal increase in strength and resistance to chipping. The sharpening process is also significantly simplified.
The Vector knife was initially developed by specialists from the Kizlyar Supreme plant for a wide range of users, including security forces. Vector can easily cope with the tasks of a hunter (recruitment and butchering of animals), with tourist operations (planing and preparing wood chips for kindling, preparing branches for bedding, with a field kitchen and cutting food). Vector was designed specifically for the widest range of tasks in the hope that that in a distant field exit it may be the only one and that this knife will have to do absolutely everything.
