This is a wonderful vintage watercolor or marker and pen print. This is the ship named Skyward and is signed by Vasco (Vasgo) Cap Haitien. This print is framed and measures 19 ½” by 13 ¼”. The print is done on textured linen type paper. I do see what looks like a couple of small water rings in the right bottom corner and there is a little very minor wrinkling on the upper left corner under the clouds. The frame is wood done in colors of blue-green with dark brown and gold accents. The frame does have some knicks and signs of wear and age.
This ship was part of the NCL fleet from 1969-1991 and was the MS Skyward. In the 80’s she was mainly used for Cape Haiti cruises. This ship is now called the Leisure World for New Century cruises out of Singapore. This ship had a sister ship called the Starward and this artist Vasgo also did a similar print of the Starward. I’m not sure if these were promotional prints done for the cruise line or if they were the artist’s interpretation of daily life. I’m not able to find any info on the artist.
