Teen Hits, by Clebanoff, is "as fine a collection of pop hits as was ever assembled on one album and if you're surprised that they're done by Clebanoff and his Clebanoff Strings you shouldn't be. In the memory of this writer, Clebanoff has done everything from the deepest classics to the wildest pop and almost unbelievably, it all sounds exactly as it should. He's one of those rare musical talents that seems to be able to hop from Beethoven to the Beatles and be perfectly at home in both. The selections from this album sound like the winners of the weekly Hit Parade or the best of the nation's Hot 100.There is, in fact, a tune written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon of the Beatles: P.S. I Love You, with Clebanoff giving it an unusual treatment all his own. There's People, the great Barbra Streisand hit, and Cotton Candy, the Al Hirt favorite. There are a pair of wonderful folk tunes, Beans in My Ears, and Today. I Don't Want to Be a Loser is a fine teen tune in the Liverpool tradition...Perhaps it's stating the obvious to say that this album is a little bit of everything for everybody."
