Scarce Union Market sign that was distributed to Union butcher shops that were signatory to the meatcutters. This was before there were supermarkets. Measures approx 14" wide x 10" high. Constructed of a composite material and designed to look like tin or porcelain. Pulveroid Sign- Lightweight indoor sign. This would have had a cotton string for hanging which is not present. The corners have damage, water staining and other signs of wear.

Dennis Lane Was Sec./Treas. from 1917-1942 and this signs is from sometime in that era.
