This very scarce aquatint by highly respected listed engraver John William Edy is in good condition, with light fading. It was published in 1797 at Romney Row, St Johns, Westminster in London. The aquatint measures 23" x 18". This is an exceptionally rare print of an exceptionally rare subject. Offered unframed.
Edy was noted for his association with John Boydell who sent him to Norway were he produced six large aquatints of similar quality to this one. These are less scarce than the Gibraltar engraving.
