Still in ORIGINAL SHRINK-WRAP (opened). Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Cover looks great, a few creases near edges; very light scuffing along opening where shrink has loosened (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is unbroken, clean and easy-to-read. Little shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use. (Not a cut-out.)
The Very Thought of You, by Tony Bennett, is a "collection of standards. They've been sung to the point of boredom by everyone who calls himself a singer...Tony is the last popular singer. He has taken all that has gone before, learned from it, refined it and made it into the definitive statement of popular singing. The title song is a case in point. Hearing Tony sing it is like hearing it for the first time. He brings out the depth and tenderness of Ray Nobles' exquisite lyric. Listen to the way he caresses the phrase 'It's just the thought of you, the very thought of you, my love' That's what singing is all about."
