You can find my pictures in a major role in Anders Landen's just published new book "Treasures from Moomin Valley", 500 pages and my pictures in the first pages.
The story of these first pictures is well told in the book. Stockmann Helsinki & NK Stockholm 1956.

These were the first Moomin themed products Tove Jansson gave permission to manufacture, the year was 1956.
Very rare and the start of the commercial Moomin history. In good condition.
Printed by Helsinki Kromipaino in 1956.

After rediscovery from an old archive, the authenticity of these high quality silk screen prints were verified together with the Moomin Museum before exhibition and confirmed that these are the first commercial Moomin prints ever.

Authentic, limited and numbered series for Tove and Moomin enthusiasts.

Comes with a statement / a certificate of authenticity. Plastic film covering the pictures.
One of the prints (Sniff) is cunningly signed 'Tove' within the screenprint.

They were exclusively printed for Stockmann luxury department store in Helsinki and NK Stockholm in the 1956 to be used for the first commercial Moomin products manufactured by former Vaasan Saippuatehdas (1886-1987) in Vaasa Finland.

Series are now after discovery exhibited in several toy and cartoon museums around the world like Cartoon Museum London, Cartoon Art Museum San Francisco, Moomin Museum and Moomin Characters.

Price for four different pictures (one series), passepartout size 15,5 x 21 cm.

I would gladly give more information about these Moomin rarities.

Some pictures from the Grand Moomin opening at Stockmann in 1956 and these pictures on the table. This is how it all began.
