VTG Fenton Art Glass Orange Carnival Persian Medallion/Bearded Berry Bowl 8”.

This Fenton orange carnival glass bowl, #8234 CO, is a reissue that Fenton re-introduced in 1972 as part of its contemporary product line. The intricate Persian Medallion pattern is detailed and resembles finely stitched embroidery. The pattern fills the interior of the bowl and the rim is softly ruffled. The outside of the bowl has Fenton’s Bearded Berry pattern. Iridescent colors of orange, magenta, red, purple, and gold are lovely against the deep orange base. The bowl is in excellent, pre owned condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs found. Please see photos for details on condition and quality of workmanship. It is marked on the bottom with the oval Fenton cartouche.

Measurements: 2 3/4"H x8"W

Of interesting note: Orange Carnival Glass was introduced by Fenton in 1972 and only lasted 2 short years. At the time, Frank Fenton said it "is not the real marigold... it is much closer to what many antique dealers call red carnival. None of the [original] orange carnival is still being made."
