knautia has bushy clumps of grey-green foliage at the base that sends up long branching stems that put on a show with loads of crimson-red flowers with white stamens that give the flowers a gorgeous pincushion-like appearance.
they are fantastically long bloomers, they bloom from May, abundantly re-blooming continuously all season and in to fall till first hard frost. they will bloom in their first year and every year after.
