Superhero spoof starring Woody Harrelson. Arthur Poppington (Harrelson) is an unassuming traffic sign holder by day. After dark, he assumes his secret identity as self-made, crime-fighting superhero, Defendor, complete with homemade costume, and takes to the streets to fight crime and injustice in his own inimitable style. After befriending young crack-addicted prostitute Kat (Kat Dennings), he saves her from the clutches of corrupt undercover cop Chuck Dooney (Elias Koteas) - and ends up being pursued by an army of thugs from both sides of the law.
