Vintage Hand-Blown Murano Sommerso Freeform/ Loop Basket Vase Bowl Decor MCM.  It measures approximately 7" Tall x 1 1/2" D at the bottom and weighs 1 lb. 6 oz without any packing materials.  This beautiful sculptural Italian Hand-Blown glass has folded/ freeform or a loop at the top that looks like a bow.  The bottom is Cobalt Blue, middle is Frosted White and the very top is clear.  It is called Sommerso ("submerged" in Italian), or "sunken glasses", is a form of artistic Murano glass that has layers of contrasting colors, which are formed by dipping a gather of colored glass into another molten glass and then blowing the gather into the desired shape; the outermost layer, or casing, is often clear.  This Vintage 1960's Murano Sommerso Art Glass would be a lovely addition to any collection of Murano or European Art Glass.  This piece compliments any retro, vintage, MCM, 50's or 60's or contemporary interior.  Condition is preowned with no chips or cracks.  Great Vintage Condition!
