Goldin was selected to work with EE "Doc" Smith's novella The Imperial Stars by Roger Elwood. The novel was successful enough that it lead to 9 books in the serialized saga of two Imperial Circus performers who were also spies for the Galactic Empire. 

Mindflight (First printing) is the first of two books in a serial. Herds is a stand-alone novel.
