Francois I, the crowned salamander that beats the fire in a beautiful gold and handpainted decoration
Made by Frederic Gustav Asch ( 1856-1911) in Tours in the year 1882
Signed on the back with the tipical Gustav Ash signature.

Les auteurs tourangeaux, bien qu'ils parlent peu, et pas dans le detail, des ateliers de decoration de Frederic Gustave ASCH, nomme aussi regionalement "Guasch" a cause de sa premiere signature G. ASCH ou "Hache" a cause de sa marque en forme de "Bardiche", s'accordent pour dire que c'est en 1882 qu' "il vient de Limoges"
