The television series revolves around the life of a species known as WOLFBLOOD. They are creatures that have enhanced senses and look like humans but can turn into wolves at will -- reminiscent of werewolves -- but can also control their transformation even during the day. They are distinct from werewolves but just like them, their transformation is uncontrolled during a full moon, and they are at their weakest during "the dark of the moon" or a new moon phase.

The television series focuses on their daily life and the challenges that they face to hide their secret. This season sees 14-year-old Maddy getting ready to experience her first transformation and the new boy in school, Rhydian, and how they both instinctively know each others true nature. Rhydian helps Maddy master her first challenge, but after that she must learn to control her powers on her own and keep her true nature hidden from the outside world.
