I've had many of these golf sweaters over the years and can say for sure that this is not an acrylic or orlon.. it is definitely wool or blend,  a high quality sweater,  This is so crisp and clean I'm not sure it was ever worn.

The color is offf white, not bright white,,it is  a cream or ivory.
