Vintage original 6.5 x 8.5 in. US double-weight photograph from the classic 1920's silent film comedy/drama, ROSITA, released in 1924 by United Artists and directed by Ernst Lubitsch. The cast includes Mary Pickford, Holbrook Blinn, Irene Rich, George Walsh.

The image features a full-length publicity shot of Mary Pickford as "Rosita," strumming a guitar, which was taken by the noted Hollywood photographer K. O. Rahmn. Printed on double-weight stock, it is in near-fine condition with three light vertical creases approximately 2.5 in. in length near the upper right corner which do not affect the image quality. A facsimile of Pickford's signature appears in the lower right portion of the image.

After its release, the film became a huge success, earning over $1,000,000. The movie was praised by both the critics and the audience. It eventually made profits for the studio. However, for reasons unknown Pickford decided the film was a failure. She wanted the prints destroyed, and when she handed her films over for preservation she refused to hand over Rosita. However another print was found and the film still exists to this day despite Pickford's wishes.
