What is a Lithograph?
A print made by the process of lithography, which was created in Europe over 200 years ago. A "mirror image" of the print is carefully created on a smooth limestone surface, which is then directly inked and transferred to high-quality paper under light pressure. For a color lithograph, this process is repeated for each of the four colors (red, yellow, blue, and black) that are overlaid to produce the varied spectrum of the final print.

Karin Kis was a nurse for many years. In her "spare" time, she and husband, Mark, have had six children. Her talent at the time was that of her career and raising her growing family. However, Karin always had a burning desire to paint - her talent uniquely natural. This desire could not be realized until she began tutelage under renowned art teacher, Robert Taylor, at the Art Center in Sacramento, C.A. Through his instructions, Karin's work met with immediate success. Paintings were sold prior to their competition; In fact, she was commissioned to create a painting of the clubhouse at one of America's most famous golf courses in Augusta, G.A. She currently has artwork exhibited in Japan, Hawaii, and in many private collections.
