Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Double LP. Cover looks great, a few creases near edges and light-scuffing (front/back); faint surface impressions and discoloration spots near edges on back. Inner-sleeves are original (generic white). Spine is easy-to-read, with crooked text and wear. Minor shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge; heavier wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
The Best Of, by Billy Vaughn, is a collection of the orchestra leaders well-known hits. Out of the numerous singles released by Vaughn, here are 20 of the best. The first track on this double LP album is Sail Along Silv'ry Moon. Originally performed by Bing Crosby, Vaughn's instrumental version of the song went to No. 5 on the U.S. pop chart and No. 1 in Germany and in Canada in 1957. The following year, the song went No. 1 in Norway and made No. 4 in Australia. It ranked No. 6 on Billboard's Year-End top 50 singles of 1958. Other top-charting singles assembled on this album are: Melody Of Love (No. 2), The Shifting Whispering Sands (Part 1 & Part 2 reached No. 5), and Raunchy (No. 10).
