Composition:

The active substances are:
Sodium alginate. 500mg
Sodium bicarbonate. 267mg
For a 10 ml sachet.
The other components are:
Calcium carbonate, 974P carbomer, sodium saccharin, peppermint essential oil, sodium hydroxide, sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), purified water.

Important information about some of the ingredients:
Maalox Reflux Sugar-free / Mint flavor contains sodium, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216).

 

Dosage:

Adults, including the elderly, and children over 12 years old: 1 sachet 3 times a day, after the 3 main meals and possibly at bedtime.
This dosage can be doubled in case of severe reflux or esophageal inflammation.

Duration of treatment:
If there is no improvement in symptoms after seven days, the clinical situation should be reconsidered.

 

Precaution for use:

If you forget to take Maalox Reflux: Do not take a double dose to make up for the dose you forgot to take.

Never take Maalox Reflux: If you are allergic to any of the constituents, as skin irritations and breathing difficulties have been reported.

Warnings and precautions for use:

 

Other medicines and Maalox Reflux Antacids can decrease the effect of many other drugs. As a precaution, you should space out the 2 hour intake between the antacid and another drug.
If you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, tell your doctor or pharmacist.

 

Pregnancy and breast feeding:
This medication can be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, if necessary.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
