Medinilla cummingii is a showy plant, commonly referred to as Chandelier Tree. Cummingii flowers well in containers & can be grown in dappled light or shade. The baby pink blooms are borne in bunches on long, pendulous stems, hence the name Chandelier Tree.
Medinilla needs a warm and humid environment to survive. It cannot tolerate temperatures below 50 degrees F.
As a succulent, Medinilla does not need to be watered often, usually just thoroughly once a week. It does enjoy being misted by water often, especially in the dry winter months. Medinilla has long lasting cluster blooms that hand like tags of grapes
