Composition:

The active ingredients are (for one sachet) 

Monmectite. 2.500 g

Aluminium hydroxide (expressed as Al2O3). 0,425 g

Magnesium hydroxide (expressed as MgO). 0,450 g

Other components that enter its formula are: sucrose, sorbitol 70% crystallizable, flavor, alcohol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), menthol, purified water.

Dosage:

The generally recommended dosage is 1 sachet to be taken at the time of pain, but not exceeding 6 intakes per day 

The contents of the sachet can be swallowed pure, but can also be diluted in half a glass of water.

 

The duration of treatment should not be extended beyond 7 days without prior medical advice.

 

Contraindications:

If you have been informed of an intolerance to certain sugars by your doctor, contact him or her before taking Gelox, drinkable suspension in sachet.

 

You should not use this medicine if you have a known allergy to any of the components it contains, or if you have severe renal insufficiency or stenosis of the digestive tract.

 

Its use is not recommended in subjects with fructose intolerance, or with symptoms of glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase/isomaltase deficiency.

It is important to take into account the 2.5 g of sucrose per sachet in the daily ration, especially in case of a low sugar diet or diabetes.

Gelox, drinkable suspension in sachet, contains 2.4% ethanol by volume (alcohol), i.e. 230 mg per sachet. Its use is dangerous in alcoholic subjects, and must also be taken into account in the event of pregnancy or breast-feeding, or in children or high-risk groups (hepatic insufficiency or epileptics) 

Methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216) contained in this medicine may cause allergic reactions.

 

Your doctor should be notified if you are on kidney dialysis.

Always tell your doctor or pharmacist about any other medication you have recently or are currently taking.

Antacids may reduce the effect of many other medicines. As a precautionary measure, antacids should not be taken at the same time as other medicines, but should be taken at a distance from each other (e.g. 2 hours before or after).

 

If necessary, Gelox, drinkable suspension in sachet can be prescribed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
